Detecting the correct positioning of a dropdown

We had an issue with dropdowns being spawned out of bounds for a long time. It was not that we did not want to solve it; we did not know where the problem came from.

So, what do we do in such situations? We follow the Moldable Development principle: build a tool that shows the problem.
